Project Description
La Lucia Sands
The Mission
Epicdev designed and developed the La Lucia Sands resort website roughly 4 years ago. Like most resorts, La Lucia focused on refurbishments during lock-down in 2020 and so
it was time for a website upgrade to. The brief was to completely redesign and redevelop the site to be current, modern and trendy. The approach we took for this site
was “less is more” combined with pages filled with beautiful photos.
The client required the site to be managed and maintained internally in a very user-friendly manner, thus Epicdev suggested the WordPress platform be used as a Content Management System (CMS) with a theme that enables a live editing
environment, i.e. when administrators are logged in they can load the front-end of the website and see it exactly how public users will see it with the addition of being able to
edit everything right there.
The Solution
Epicdev built a minimalist website with hard hitting calls to action (CTAs) and engaging imagery on WordPress. Our favourite part by far is the big, main slider on the home page. The first feature you’ll see as the page loads. We added a slow zoom effect on the professional photographs of the resort and the surrounding areas which slowly fade from one photo to the next. It creates movement that draws focus to this area and the main call to action which constantly hovers above the slide-show.

The Client’s Feedback
“We have been working with Epicdev for more than 5 years, across multiple projects. From web design to app development – no matter our requirements, they always rise up to the challenge and invest themselves in the project as if it’s their own. We happily continue to work with the Epicdev team and will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great online design and development services.”
